The Alpkit Foundation (UK)

The Alpkit Foundation awards small grants to individuals, community groups, schools and other not-for-profit organisations across the UK to encourage people to get outdoors and have great experiences that otherwise couldn’t happen. The Foundation supports projects that support diversity and inclusion in the outdoors, as well as participation, education, conservation and protection of the natural environment, and health and wellbeing.

The CLA Charitable Trust (England & Wales)

The CLA Charitable Trust funds charities and not-for-profit organisations in England and Wales to support projects that help disabled or disadvantaged people access the benefits of nature and the countryside. Through their funding programme, the Trust awards grants of up to £5,000 to support projects that improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of people who are disabled or disadvantaged by helping them to visit and participate in recreational and educational opportunities in the countryside. Applications are particularly welcomed for projects for children and young people who are disadvantaged financially, physically, mentally, or from areas of deprivation. The funding will support projects, capital works and running costs.

Spark Awards (UK)

The Spark Awards provide grants of up to £15,000 for programmes of public engagement that inspire and involve target audiences with science and technology. Activities must focus on astronomy, solar and planetary science, particle physics, particle astrophysics, cosmology, nuclear physics or accelerator science. Well-planned proposals for novel or innovative approaches towards engagement are welcomed. Grant funded researchers, STFC scientists and engineers, facility users, schools, museums, science communicators and amateur astronomy groups are all eligible to apply.
