The Cumbria Community Foundation exists to benefit disadvantaged people and communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference within their local area. Through the Cumbria Disaster Fund, the Foundation provides grants for charitable purposes to relieve hardship in Cumbria caused directly by local disasters e.g. flood. The purpose of the Fund is to address hardship, promote community recovery and rebuilding, and any other charitable purpose directly or indirectly caused by such an event.
