The npower Business Solutions Foundation aims to support not-for-profit organisations and educational institutions located within a 50-mile radius of their Solihull and Leeds offices in creating sustainable communities. The foundation offers grants of up to £100,000 for projects focused on decarbonisation, responsible business growth, social innovation, and local skills/employment promotion.

The Hook Moor Wind Farm Community Fund offers grants up to £3,000 to support community projects in Aberford and Micklefield, West Yorkshire, focusing on poverty alleviation and community enrichment. This fund supports community groups, voluntary organisations, and projects in Aberford and Micklefield. The Hazlehead Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund offers grants up to £5,000 to support community projects in Dunford Parish, South Yorkshire, focusing on poverty alleviation and life enrichment. This fund supports community groups, voluntary organisations, and projects in Dunford Parish. It funds initiatives promoting energy efficiency, environmental protection, health and wellbeing, community facility improvements, education and skills training, and social welfare. Exclusions include religious/political activities, statutory responsibilities, projects outside designated areas, activities against fund interests, retrospective funding, and salaries.

The Marr Wind Farm Community Fund offers grants up to £3,000 to support community groups and projects in South Yorkshire, focusing on poverty reduction and community life enhancement. This fund supports community groups, voluntary organisations, and environmental projects in Barnburgh, Brodsworth, Hickleton, High Melton, Marr, and Sprotbrough & Cusworth. It funds initiatives promoting energy efficiency, environmental protection, health and wellness, community facility improvements, and social welfare. Exclusions include religious/political activities, statutory responsibilities, activities against the funder's interests, retrospective funding, and projects not benefiting specified communities.

The Banks Property Grassroots Fund offers grants up to £2,000 to enrich the lives of people in areas where Banks is developing, supporting projects in County Durham, Darlington, Stockton-on-Tees, and Yorkshire. This fund supports projects promoting energy efficiency, environmental protection, health and wellbeing, community facilities, education, and social welfare activities.

The ELIF GRASSroots Grant Scheme aims to support community-led initiatives in East Lindsey. It provides funding for projects that invest in community spaces, enhance social connections, and improve access to services, aligning with the priorities of the East Lindsey Investment Fund. This grant scheme is facilitated by the Lincolnshire Community Foundation in collaboration with East Lindsey District Council. It specifically targets strengthening community ties, developing neighborhood growth, and addressing key community development themes such as community facilities, cohesion, digital access, and supporting both young and older demographics, among others.

The National Lottery Community Fund distributes money raised by the National Lottery to support local communities. The Climate Action Fund - Energy and Climate, provides funding of between £500,000 and £1.5 million over two to five for projects that encourage communities to use energy in an environmentally friendly way.

The government is providing grants to encourage property owners to install low carbon heating systems such as heat pumps, through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS). These grants can help property owners overcome the upfront cost of low carbon heating technologies.

The Clean Growth Fund (CGF) invests in technology businesses that are driving the transition to net zero through developing disruptive products and services. The clean growth sector includes innovations that can improve the resource efficiency of industry and commerce, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions, pollution or other adverse environmental impacts and also deliver substantial financial returns.  CGF will invest across the technology spectrum, including hardware, software, process systems, materials, deep tech and business model innovations, capable of driving real and rapid change on a global scale.

One Community is the Community Foundation for the people of Kirklees and exists to benefit disadvantaged communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference to their local communities. Through the Hirst Brierley Fund (Kirklees) the foundation supports activities that will reduce climate change, for example through energy efficiency, renewable energy or creation and management of green spaces. The fund will provide grants of up to £3000 to fund in whole or in part projects such as: Energy efficiency in lighting or heating; Insulation or window improvement; Renewable energy; Tree planting or creation of green spaces; Land or river management.

The Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF) is designed to help businesses with high energy use, such as energy intensive industries, to cut their energy bills and carbon emissions through investing in energy efficiency and low-carbon technologies.  

Energy Saving Trust (EST) has been appointed by Ofgem to distribute payments from energy companies who may have breached rules. Through the Energy Redress Scheme the Trust provides grants to registered charities to deliver a range of new and innovative energy related projects designed to help vulnerable energy consumers and address households that may have been impacted by COVID-19.

South Yorkshire's Community Foundation exists to benefit disadvantaged communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference to their local communities. Through the Tween Bridge Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund the foundation provides grants of between £500 and £7,500 to community groups close to the Tween Bridge Wind Farm with projects that benefit residents of: Thorne and Moorends; parts of Hatfield, Hatfield Woodhouse, Sandtoft, Fosterhouses, Stainforth, Ealand, Fishlake, Crowle and Belton and other settlements within the defined 3-mile radius of the wind farm.

South Yorkshire's Community Foundation exists to benefit disadvantaged communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference to their local communities. Through the Park Spring Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund the foundation provides grants of up to £10,000 to projects and initiatives that involve one or more of the following criteria: capital item(s) with a tangible and lasting benefit, including improvements to community buildings; bio-diversity and habitat conservation; energy conservation and increased use of renewables; other projects that are community-based and/or community-led which meet identified local needs and issues.

Naturesave Limited is an ethical insurance company providing funding to support environmental and conservationist projects. Financial assistance is available in the form of start up finance to new organisations which seeks to promote greater awareness of sustainable development or for existing companies and charities which are seeking funding for a specific project. The Trust has funded hundreds of projects since it's inception, ranging from installation of a wind turbines to the conservation of water voles in Dorset. The Trust prefers to provide start-up capital to small projects to get them going, rather than to contribute to the general administration costs of a larger charity or company.
