Local Funding

Sefton Travel Team offers grants to help businesses develop and support facilities or initiatives which will improve or promote access by sustainable transport. 

The grants can be used for anything that supports improving access to employment by

public transport, walking, cycling or car sharing. Examples of what the grants could be

used for are as follows:

• Purchase of pool bikes and equipment

• Cycle parking / cycle storage

• Facilities for cyclists such as lockers, showers

• Improved facilities for pedestrians

• Improved facilities for cyclists

• Improved access and links to public transport

• Signing information and provision

• Improved access for mobility impaired or disabled visitors

• Delivery of sustainable travel events

Businesses based in Sefton

Grants are available up to a maximum of £5000 for capital projects to businesses located or operating in the South Sefton area.
