Grant News
Teachers in the North of England can now apply for grants of up to £25,000 over two years, plus tailored training and support, for projects that help disadvantaged young people realise their academic potential.
The funding is available through the Let Teachers Shine competition, which aims to find the country's best teachers and fresh, imaginative, practical ways to raise attainment among disadvantaged students in English, Maths or Science.
The SHINE Trust is particularly interested in innovative projects with scalability potential.
Ten grants are expected to be awarded.
After the initial 2 years of support, SHINE invites the most promising projects to apply for future funding, offering long-term backing to help scale their ideas.
The closing date for applications is midnight on 13 January 2027.
