Grants of up to £2,500 Available for Sporting Activities (North East Scotland, Highlands & Islands)

Grants of up to £2,500 are available to organisations, including sports clubs, schools, religious organisations and Scout and Guides groups in Scotland, to run sporting activities to benefit people in the local community.

The funding is being made available through the Aldi Scottish Sport Fund, and to be eligible, projects must be located in areas with an Aldi store.

The fund opens for applications at different times throughout the year in various locations throughout Scotland. 

The current funding round applies to North East Scotland and Highlands & Islands.   Areas in North East Scotland and Highlands & Islands where there are Aldi stores include:

 Boulevard Aberdeen, Cornhill Aberdeen, Aberdeen Hareness Road, Westhill, Aberdeen Countesswell, Portlethen, Inverurie, Ellon, Peterhead, Inverness Friars Bridge, Inverness Inshes, Elgin, Fort William, Macduff and Aviemore.

Previous projects supported have included wheelchair sports clubs and special Olympics events.

The closing date for applications is 18th May 2025.
