Grant News
Greenspace Scotland has announced that the Parks4Life Community Fund is now accepting applications. The fund offers grants ranging from £500 to £1,500 to support the improvement, promotion, and development of local parks and greenspaces across Scotland.
The Parks4Life Community Fund has been established through generous donations and contributions, with the aim of building Scotland’s first £1 million parks endowment fund. The fund is designed to empower local communities to bring their parks to life—ensuring these essential public spaces remain accessible, vibrant, and inclusive for everyone, both now and in the future.
Eligible projects may include:
-
Hosting community events in parks
-
Enhancing park facilities
-
Implementing environmental or biodiversity improvements
-
Other activities that support the long-term use and enjoyment of greenspaces
The fund is jointly managed by Greenspace Scotland and MyParkScotland, and is open to constituted community groups and Friends of parks groups operating in Scotland. Applicants must demonstrate a clear commitment to the betterment of local parks or greenspaces.
In 2024, the fund supported 11 community organisations across Scotland to deliver projects in their local parks and greenspaces. To learn more about previously funded initiatives, visit the Parks4Life Funded Projects page.
The deadline for applications is 25 April 2025.
