Grant News
The SG UK Foundation has opened applications for its Bright Futures Grants, designed to support projects that help individuals from marginalised communities across the UK realise their potential. These include young people from low-income households, care-experienced individuals, racially minoritised groups, disabled people, and those facing mental health challenges. The programme aims to improve confidence, aspirations, and well-being, enabling long-term positive change.
Grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 are available for the first year, with the potential for multi-year funding following an initial pilot. The total amount of funding available has not been disclosed. Applicants must ensure their grant request does not exceed 30% of their organisation’s income from the previous financial year.
Eligible organisations include UK-registered charities and those with a recognised charitable purpose, such as Social Enterprises, Community Interest Companies, Faith-based groups and Voluntary organisations, etc.
Funding will support activities that build key life and employability skills, improve mental health, and develop attributes such as resilience and motivation. Projects must demonstrate a meaningful impact on individuals from the targeted communities, particularly in education and employment outcomes.
The grant is currently open for Expressions of Interest, which must be submitted online by 3 June 2025. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application, with final decisions expected in October 2025. Applications must be made via the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) online portal.
