Grants of between £2,500 and £10,000 are available for tree planting projects across central and southern Scotland during the 2025/26 planting season.
The SP Energy Networks Community Tree Planting Fund, delivered in partnership with the Tree Council, aims to bring greater biodiversity, improved air quality, and other environmental benefits to local communities by planting trees in areas such as parks, schools and community spaces. Hedgerow planting, community orchards and other urban planting schemes will also be supported.
Organisations eligible to apply include:
- Local authorities
- Charities & other NGOs
- Community groups
- Education institutions
- Individual landowners
Projects should show clear community benefit and involvement, such as volunteering, education, or wellbeing initiatives.
The closing date for applications is the 31st July 2025.
