£1.4 Million Fund to Boost the Youth Music Sector (Scotland)

Organisations and individuals working in the youth music sector will soon be able to apply for a share of £1.4 million through the Scottish Government’s Youth Music Initiative.

Administered by Creative Scotland, the initiative aims to increase access to high quality music making opportunities for young people aged up to 25 (or up to 30 for those who are disabled, care-experienced, or young carers), and support the development of the youth music sector.

Two funding strands are available:

  • The Access to Music Making Fund offers grants of up to £40,000 for projects that deliver high-quality music-making opportunities for young people that address inequity
  • The Strengthening Youth Music Fund offers grants of up to £20,000 for activities that improve sector infrastructure and the services offered by organisations

Applications for both funds open on the 5th August 2025, and close on the 9th September 2025.
