Funding for Pilot Projects Tackling Social & Environmental Challenges (UK)
UK-registered charities, social enterprises and other nonprofit organisations can apply for funding through the Aberdeen Group Charitable Trust’s Empowering Partnerships: Ideas Fund to pilot innovative projects that tackle social and environmental challenges.
The fund supports collaborative projects that:
- increase financial capability - projects that help people develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to manage money effectively and make informed financial decisions
- create pathways to fair work - projects which support people to overcome barriers to finding good jobs
- champion the role of nature in healthy communities and economies - projects that help people and communities thrive by protecting and restoring natural environments.
Grants typically range from £20,000 to £80,000, with an average award of around £50,000, for projects lasting up to 18 months.
Eligible organisations must have an annual income below £3 million, and collaborative applications are encouraged.
The closing date for applications is 7 May 2026.
