The British Council is offering funding to support artistic collaboration and exchange between the UK and selected countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand.
The Connections Through Culture grants programme encourages partnerships, cross-cultural exchange and long-term collaboration between the UK and participating countries.
The programme supports creative practitioners, cultural professionals, artists, creative hubs, festivals, biennials, and organisations to deliver collaborative projects across a wide range of themes and art forms. This includes:
- architecture, design, fashion and craft
- creative technology, including digital arts, XR/immersive, and games
- film
- literature
- music
- theatre and dance
- visual arts
Grants of £5,000 to £15,000 are available per project or partnership, depending on the partner country.
Eligible activities include co-creation, residencies, exchanges, workshops, research and development, exhibitions, performances, showcases, festivals, digital innovation, public engagement and capacity building.
Applications must involve at least one UK-based partner and one partner from an eligible country.
The deadline for applications is 12 August 2026.
