The Football Association (FA) has launched its new Faith and Football Fund to support locally led projects that bring faith communities together through football across England.
The FA is the governing body for football in England and works to increase participation, inclusion and engagement across the game.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to support activities including football engagement sessions, training and awareness activities, programmes for women and girls of faith, and educational initiatives.
Projects must be completed by 31 December 2027.
Funding can be used for costs directly related to delivering the project, including staff and coaching costs, equipment, venue hire, participant engagement, communications and training.
Key points:
- Community organisations, football clubs, charities, local authorities, voluntary organisations and other eligible partners can apply.
- Applicants should have experience of delivering social, community or sports projects.
- Partnership and consortium applications are allowed.
- Projects must take place in England and work with, or meet the requirements of, the relevant County FA.
Priority will be given to interfaith and intersectional projects. This includes projects involving more than one faith community, as well as those addressing factors such as ethnicity, gender, disability and LGBTQ+ inclusion.
Applications must be emailed to the FA by Friday 25 September 2026.
