The Idlewild Trust has announced that the next closing date for applications to its grant-making programme is the 13th February 2026.
The Idlewild Trust supports charities that provide training opportunities for emerging professionals working creatively and backstage in the performing and visual arts. Organisations applying must be UK Registered Charities in the arts sector, delivering high quality and professional work with a strong track record. Programmes eligible for support will be designed for early-stage professionals who are trained to the highest level and/or have equivalent relevant experience.
The Trust also supports the conservation of cultural heritage of national or international importance in museums, libraries, galleries and historic landscapes accessible to the public. Priority will be given to applications that include a knowledge sharing element as an outcome of the project.
The Trust awards around £108,000 each year in grants. During 2021 the average grant was £4,911.
