Amazon Literary Partnership Opens for 2026 Grant Applications (UK and Reublic of Ireland)

The Amazon Literary Partnership has opened its 2026 Grants programme.  Through the programme, non-profit literary organisations across the UK and the Republic of Ireland (ROI) can apply for funding that empower writers to create, publish, learn, teach and experiment, with a particular focus on amplifying diverse voices and delivering lasting impact.

The funder does not appear to have published the grant size, nor the total funding pot for the 2026 round; however, in 2025 a record 38 organisations received support.

Eligible applicants are registered, non-profit literary organisations based in the UK or ROI whose work develops emerging writers, celebrates storytelling, supports diversity and builds writers’ careers.

Recent grants awarded illustrate the breadth of projects that can be supported.  These included:

  • Graffiti Theatre Company expanded free creative writing workshops (in English and Irish) and launched a weekly Write Club for teens;
  • Ministry of Stories grew its Community Writing Labs for young people;
  • Cheltenham Festivals’ Write Now mentorship worked with pupils excluded from mainstream education;
  • and The London Library’s Emerging Writers Programme offered a year’s membership, masterclasses and mentoring to new writers.

Applications are currently open until 30 January 2026. Applications for the 2026 round will close on 30 January 2026, with outcomes due by mid-May.
