Ogden Trust - Local School Partnerships (UK)

The Ogden Trust School Partnerships Programme is now open for applications. The programme provides funding and support to groups of schools that collaborate on projects to improve the teaching and learning of physics.

Partnerships can include primary and secondary schools (or ideally a mix of both) and can be either:

  • Local Cluster Partnerships: a group of four or more schools within a local area
  • Established Collaborations: a group of four or more schools associated through a multi-academy trust (MAT), MAC, federation, educational trust or similarly related organisation

Applications are welcome from partnerships that include schools in the following categories:

  • Rural and coastal areas
  • Schools based in areas of social deprivation
  • Schools with above national average free school meals

In previous years, grants of up to £2,500 per academic year for the first three years and £1,000 in the fourth year have been available for activities to enhance the teaching and learning of physics. A small grant is also available to active legacy partnerships.

The Trust aims to launch 30 new partnerships at the beginning of each academic year.

The expression of interest deadline is 1st February 2024. Following this, there will be an assessment period (up to five weeks) to review all submissions.
