Cumbria Community Foundation has announced the availability of funding through the #CanDo Fund for young people in West Cumbria who want to take action on issues that matter to them.

The fund offers grants of up to £5,000 for projects that promote skills development and social action through campaigning, fundraising and volunteering, all of which have a positive impact on their communities.

The #CanDo Fund has awarded over £135,000 to 30 projects since 2020 and all of them have been evaluated and approved by a youth committee. The fund is funded by Sellafield Ltd, with additional support from Thomas Graham & Sons and local donors, and is a part of the Transforming West Cumbria programme.

The deadline for the next round of grant applications is February 17th, 2023.
