Funding for New Housing Ideas to Support People Who have been in Contact with the Criminal Justice System (UK)

Frontline organisations across the UK are invited to apply for funding of up to £10,000 to conduct short-termstudies to assess the feasibility of housing and support models for vulnerable individuals who have been in contact with the criminal justice system.

The funding is part of Commonweal Housing’s Call for New Ideas partnership programme, which aims to support innovative projects that address social injustice.  Commonweal Housing is a UK-based charity that focuses on finding innovative solutions to address various social issues through housing interventions.

The feasibility studies will be used to determine if there is scope for the proposed ideas to be developed into housing projects, which Commonweal would look to support by providing bespoke property for the pilots to run over several years.

Applications by and for Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic organisations are particularly encouraged.

Organisations do not need to be experts in housing or have experience in delivering projects involving housing before.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on the 29th September 2023.
