A new £500,000 fund has been launched to inspire STEM A new £500,000 fund has been launched to inspire STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education amongst young people by using the exciting and inspiring context of space. education amongst young people by using the exciting and inspiring context of space.
The funding is made available through the UK Space Agency’s Space for All Fund 2023.
Eligible organisations include:
- academic or research institutions (including schools, universities, research councils and UK Space Agency partners)
- charities
- trusts
- companies (including not-for-profit)
Grants of between £50,000 and £100,000 are likely to be awarded for projects that develop new ways to reach young people from all backgrounds and encourage them to pursue STEM education (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).
This could include using modern technologies they are accustomed to, such as gaming, social media, VR/AR, machine learning, and AI, or developing STEM skills which are in demand such as coding and robotics.
The deadline for proposals is 5pm on the 27th October 2023.
