The European Cultural Foundation has launched an open call for their 2024 Europe Challenge. The Europe Challenge is an annual programme that brings together teams from libraries and communities across Europe to address social isolation, inequality, disinformation, climate crises and other local challenges by developing, sharing and implementing creative solutions with support from the European Cultural Foundation and its partners. 

Communities and libraries taking part will benefit from funding of up to €10,000 to support creative projects that will make a positive change.

Project support including workshop and mentoring sessions, and peer-to peer exchange opportunities, networking and travel will also be provided.

Proposals from challenge teams will be selected according to the following criteria:

• local relevance
• creativity
• inclusivity
• scalability
• sustainability
• European values
• impact

Applications should be submitted by both a library and community group.

The closing date for applications is the 16th October 2023.
