£8.5 Million Fund to Research Dietary Health Inequalities in the UK Food System (UK)

UK research organisations are invited to apply for a share of £8.5 million in funding to research dietary health inequalities in the UK food system.

The funding, made available by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, will support interdisciplinary projects that better understand the causes of dietary health inequalities in the food system and deliver place-based, solution-focused interventions to improve equity and health.

The full economic cost (FEC) of a project can be up to £1.875 million. 80% of the FEC up to £1.5 million will be funded.

The funding is available for three-year projects.

Organisations must collaborate with at least one stakeholder organisation.

The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council will administer the funding on behalf of UK Research and Innovation.
