Grant News
The Veterans’ Foundation has announced that its Major Grants Programme will re-open for applications on 2 March 2026. The programme offers funding to charities and not-for-profit organisations that support serving and former members of the UK armed forces, operationally qualified seafarers, and their immediate families.
Major Grants typically range from £100,000 to £200,000 for projects lasting one to three years. Funding is available for initiatives that deliver clear, direct benefits to the armed forces community, including mental health and wellbeing services, housing and homelessness prevention, employment and training programmes, welfare advice, and community integration projects.
Eligible applicants include registered charities and other not-for-profit organisations with appropriate governance and financial controls. An online eligibility check must be completed before submitting a full application. Details of the application closing date will be confirmed on the Foundation’s website when the programme opens.
In addition to Major Grants, the Foundation operates:
- Small Grants (£500–£5,000)
- Standard Grants (£5,001–£30,000)
- Salary Grants (up to £25,000 per year for up to three years)
Previously funded projects have included frontline counselling services, veterans’ housing refurbishment schemes, and employability training for former service personnel.
The Major Grants Programme will close to applications on 20 April 2026.
