Grant News
Audible has announced the Future Stories Fund, a new grant programme designed to support small grassroots organisations in Yorkshire & The Humber that help young people develop skills and confidence through storytelling. Audible, an Amazon company best known for audiobooks, podcasts and audio originals, is delivering the programme with support from Think Beyond.
The fund is open to nonprofit organisations and community groups, including unregistered and early-stage groups, with an annual operating budget of £250,000 or less. It is aimed at projects working with young people aged 12 to 18, including some 11-year-olds in secondary school, particularly those from under-represented communities.
Grants of up to £15,000 are available from a total fund of up to £50,000. Funding is for project costs rather than unrestricted core funding, and supported work must place storytelling or language at its centre. This could include activities such as creative writing, reading, poetry, podcasting, theatre or playwriting. Projects are expected to be innovative, begin within six months of the award, and be completed within 12 months.
Applications are being accepted through an open process, with submissions available online, by email or via WhatsApp. In addition to grants, some applicants may receive capacity-building support, and up to two grantees could go on to access further scale-up funding.
The application deadline is 11:59pm on 17 May 2026.
